LTO Region 7 to Conduct Operations in Bohol Starting September 2025

lto-operationTagbilaran City, Bohol — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 7 announced that it will begin conducting operations in Bohol starting September 2025, as part of its efforts to strengthen road safety and enforce transportation laws in the province.

The operations will focus on strict implementation of traffic rules and regulations, including inspections of driver’s licenses, vehicle registrations, proper safety helmets and compliance with roadworthiness standards. Random roadside checkpoints and saturation drives are also expected to be carried out to ensure that motorists adhere to national transportation policies.

LTO Region 7 officials said the initiative aims to address the increasing number of road accidents in Bohol and to discourage illegal practices such as driving without a license, operating unregistered vehicles, not properly using authorized helmets and using colorum public utility vehicles.

“Our presence in Bohol will not only help us enforce the law more effectively but also protect lives and promote road discipline,” an LTO representative stated.

Local government units and law enforcement agencies are expected to work closely with LTO personnel to ensure smooth coordination during operations. Awareness and information campaigns will also be conducted to educate the public on safe driving practices and the importance of compliance.

Motorists are advised to keep their licenses and registration documents updated and wear proper helmets to avoid penalties once the operations formally roll out in September 2025.
